Airport Obstruction Removal – Phase IV

A Federal Aviation Administration Obstruction Removal Project is scheduled to begin during the week of October 18, 2021.  This project is administered through PennDOT’s Bureau of Aviation and is being contracted through the Bucks County Airport Authority.  The contractor is Beeghly Tree, LLC.

The project involves the removal of tall trees from Milford Township parkland off of the western end (11) of the Quakertown Airport runway.  The project includes replacement of those trees with various species of trees with mature heights that will not grow tall enough to become obstructions.

Federal regulations require removal of obstructions from the air space surrounding airports.  This project is a continuation of previous projects that have removed trees that intrude into the regulated space.
